Dr. Feijóo-García is a Lecturer at the School of Computing Instruction (SCI) of the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He teaches courses related to software engineering and does research on computer science education (CS Ed) and Human-Centered AI. Prior to joining SCI, he was an instructor on record at the Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering (CISE) at the University of Florida for graduate and undergraduate courses on human-centered computing and software development, and a Core-Faculty Assistant Professor at Universidad El Bosque, Colombia, for undergraduate courses in software engineering and development. He earned his Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing at the University of Florida. Dr. Feijóo-García is a Colombian and a Fulbright alumnus. Dr. Feijóo-García has worked on research focused on evaluating users' perceptions and interactions with virtual humans (i.e., embodied conversational agents) designed for mental health support in college scenarios. He has also worked on computer science education (CS Ed) research, designing and evaluating interactive interfaces to promote programming learning. His research interests concern human-centered and social computing.
